Generous Donation from Proceeds of Personal Story

Thursday, March 27, 2014

With the help of her friends, Patty Kim for funding the whole project entirely and Karen Sue-A-Quan for her beautiful writing and giving the story the justice that it deserves, Thao Choi’s extraordinary experience as a refugee was written in the hopes of inspiring other with valuable life lessons. Her story, called “The essence of Life”, is published in the book Defyeneurs: Inspiring Freedom, a collection of short stories “to inspire everyday people to do extraordinary things.”

Because of her experiences, Thao wants to give back to the children in her homeland. She and her husband heard about the work that we have been doing and have very generously been donating all of the proceeds from the sale of her story to us.

Thank you Thao, Steve, Patty & Karen for your selfless support in helping us make our vision a reality for the children of Vietnam.

If you would like to purchase a copy of this book, you can visit the Defyeneurs website, or contact us.
