Vietnamese Canadian League
The Children of Vietnam Benevolent Foundation would like to extend special thanks to the Vietnamese Canadian League (VCL), a student club situated at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada. With the devastating news of the flood in central Vietnam, the founder Linda La and her team reached out to our foundation to offer help in the relief. Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, together, these passionate students were able to raise enough funds to contribute significantly to our emergency relief efforts in Mang But and Dak Plo.
As a cultural, non-profit organization dedicated to the general development of the student body, VCL’s purpose is to provide an environment for students with Vietnamese heritage and/or interest in Vietnam to maintain and promote Vietnamese culture and tradition, have fun, learn the value of philanthropy, make life-long friends, and build leadership skills all through their university careers.
The VCL is founded by Ms Linda La and fellow Vietnamese-Canadian university students to empower fellow peers to promote unity and bridge the gap between Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Canadian traditions through leadership and community.
The VCL team is indeed empowering student leaders for the future. Thank you!!
