2016 Khauvai Commune

November 2016 – After delivering much needed items to the impoverished students in Lai Chau province (northwest), our dedicated team Hoang, Phuong, Viet, Ai Linh made the long journey to the northeastern province of Ha Giang to visit the children in the mountainous community of Khau Vai-Meo Vac. Many of the children walk miles (up to 3-5 hrs) to get to school, and so this year, we provided all the children attending gr 1-9 (nearly 1200) with new sandals. We also purchased thick blankets, bed mats, and wash towels for the children and provided 90 sets of textbooks. And of course, to further brighten their day, we brought enough cookie packages for all the children in the community.
