India – Zongchoe Library Project

2017 – Dzongkar Choede Secondary school is a residential school alike, studies live in monastic residential house with their guardian teacher who are given responsible to take care of students well being, monastic studies and homework.
All aspects of the the monks’ health and well being (clothing/uniforms, medical, surgeries, education/books, meals and housing) are fully dependent on devotees’ offering and sponsorship program for its young monks. The monastery has not received any financial support/assistance from the State and government
Zongchoe Library was initiated by all the Sangha members with the advice from H.H.The Dalai Lama during his kind visit in year 2004. The main core of coming into existence, the Zongchoe Library is to enhance and impart the monks with study of modern education, reading practices, preservation of Buddhist philosophy and ideology, Tibet history and culture, practising of Buddhist dharma etc. The initial investment for setting up a full-fledged library was too high and they had difficulties from  insufficient funds.
Our foundation was able to help purchase the necessary books for their Library.
